About the Logo: The Christian Systems Thinking logo is a transposition of the Christian cross and the Greek letter phi (φ), the symbol of the golden ratio. It represents the union of faith and design — Christ at the center, and God’s order and harmony woven through creation. Together, the cross and phi embody CST’s mission: helping people discover Identity, Purpose, and Endurance by aligning their lives with God’s perfect design.

About Us

Our Mission
Christian Systems Thinking exists to help people grow in faith by blending the rigor of systems engineering with the truth of Scripture. Our goal is simple: to give individuals and organizations practical frameworks to live with clarity, resilience, and God-given purpose.

The Framework
Every journey of faith can be understood through three themes:

  • IdentityWho am I in Christ?

  • PurposeWhy am I here?

  • EnduranceHow do I stay strong when tested?

Through books, workshops, and digital tools, CST equips Christians to strengthen these three pillars — becoming rooted in who they are, aligned to God’s intent, and resilient in the face of life’s battles.

The Founder
Christian Systems Thinking was founded by Eric Alexander, a systems engineer, author, husband, and father of three. After years of leading engineering projects for the U.S. Army, Eric recognized that the same structured methods used to design resilient systems could also illuminate the Christian walk.

Not a pastor, but a builder by nature, Eric began writing to reach others who think like him: problem-solvers, leaders, and everyday believers who long for a fresh, practical way to grow in faith. His book series — System of Interest: Me, Mission Engineering Your Faith, and Adaptive Overmatch — form the core journey of CST: discovering Identity, Purpose, and Endurance in Christ.

Why It Matters
We believe faith isn’t abstract. It can be lived out, built up, and sustained — just like a well-designed system. CST is here to provide the tools, language, and encouragement to make that real.

Coming Soon: The Divine Reference Architecture

What if the Bible could be viewed as the ultimate systems model — a design reference for human identity, purpose, and endurance?

The Divine Reference Architecture (DRA) is a project in the works from Christian Systems Thinking that seeks to map the story of Scripture into a structured framework. Using the language of systems engineering, the DRA will illustrate how God’s design is woven through creation, covenant, prophecy, and fulfillment in Christ.

What It Will Include

  • Identity Architectures – models of biblical figures (e.g., Abraham, David, Paul) showing how God shaped their lives, strengths, and weaknesses

  • Traceability Across Scripture – linking Old Testament promises to New Testament fulfillment

  • Variation & Commonality – how God’s people share a common calling while each carries a unique role

  • The Perfect Pattern – Christ as the objective reference model for all humanity

Why It Matters
Just as engineers use reference architectures to design complex systems with clarity and purpose, the DRA will provide a lens to understand God’s plan and our place in it. It won’t replace Scripture — but it will help believers see the Bible’s big picture with fresh eyes, connecting identity, purpose, and endurance across every story.

Coming in the future. Stay connected for updates as this project develops.
