Our Mission
Christian Systems Thinking exists to help people grow closer to God by blending the logic of systems engineering with the wisdom of Scripture.
Our goal is simple: to offer believers practical frameworks and visual models that bring clarity to their faith, deepen understanding of God’s design, and build resilience through every season of life.
At the heart of this mission is the Model-Based Bible Project — an effort to visualize biblical truth through systems diagrams and architectural patterns, showing how every part of Scripture points to Christ, the ultimate Architect.
The Framework
Every journey of faith can be understood through three recurring themes — what we call the architecture of discipleship:
Identity – Who am I in Christ? (System of Interest: Me)
Design – How does God’s divine blueprint shape my life? (Ultimate Architect)
Endurance – How do I remain resilient in a contested world? (Adaptive Overmatch)
Through books, devotionals, and online resources, Christian Systems Thinking equips readers to live intentionally — rooted in identity, aligned to God’s design, and sustained by His strength.
The Founder
Christian Systems Thinking was founded by Eric Alexander, a systems engineer, author, husband, and father of three.
After years leading engineering projects for the U.S. Army, Eric recognized that the same structured thinking used to design complex systems could also illuminate the Christian life. Not a pastor by title but a builder by nature, he began writing to reach others who think in frameworks — problem-solvers, leaders, and seekers looking for a practical, reasoned approach to spiritual growth.
His writings — including System of Interest: Me, Ultimate Architect, and Adaptive Overmatch — invite readers to see faith as a designed, living system guided by the Master Architect.
Why It Matters
Faith isn’t abstract; it’s architectural. It has form, function, and purpose. Like any resilient system, it must be designed, tested, and sustained.

About the Logo: The Christian Systems Thinking logo is a transposition of the Christian cross and the Greek letter phi (φ), the symbol of the golden ratio. It represents the union of faith and design — Christ at the center, and God’s order and harmony woven through creation. Together, the cross and phi embody CST’s mission: helping people discover Identity, Purpose, and Endurance by aligning their lives with God’s perfect design.
